Happy New Year!

To all – far and near.  May 2012 bring you many blessings, happiness and joy! x

It’s been a rollercoaster of a 2011 (and 2010 and 2009) here – but finally, it seems, things are settling down.  The beginning of 2012 will see us moving into a lovely new home and will also bring a further surprise, my 5th child, due 18th June.

Hopefully when the dust has settled a little, I will *finally* (because I know I’ve kept saying I will…) get back to blogging regularly.  It’s been a very, very difficult year here and it has been hard to blog, because there’s been so much ‘else’ that seemed to get in the way.

Thank you to everyone who has been so very supportive, friends both near and far, some I’ve met, some I’ve only had the pleasure of knowing here, in the internet ether.  It has meant a lot to me, knowing that there were people, some of whom I’ve never met in person, willing me on each step.

I really don’t know how to thank you enough for your kind thoughts and indeed, I had a real surprise when a parcel arrived from a wonderful group of ladies on Homespun Waldorf who sent us the most beautiful gift of handmade decorations and gifts that really brightened up a bleak day just before Christmas (this was the first Christmas in 17 years that I’ve not had small children here and it felt very strange!)  To know that we had been thought of from so very far away really touched me.

I feel very blessed to be a small part of such a supportive Waldorf home-educating community online – the warmth, support and friendship I have met with over the past 8 (almost 9! where does the time go?) years is truly wonderful.

So a big group hug to all us mamas (and papas and grandparents and many others) who are following this special path with our children – may 2012 be an amazing year of love, laughter and discovery.
