Knitted Waldorf Doll

I finished my first entirely Knitted Waldorf Doll (well, ok, he does need some clothes, I’m working on that).

He is predominantly knitted in Riihivilla Aarni (a naturally-dyed Finnish rare-breed yarn) from Ecoknits and his hair is from Spectraspun.

WOW! Where did you find the pattern for a knitted waldorf doll? You’ll have to make a pattern if this is your own! Great job!

He looks wonderful, soft and warm!

My very first doll (at least the first I remember) was a tiny knitted doll. I was a little girl and stayed at friend´s of my family and couldn´t find sleep – and then I got this tiny doll. It smelled wonderful and was soft and warm and as big as my hand. Perfect size…

Thank you so much for your lovely lines. It would be a pleasure for me making a special doll for you one fine day!

    Sunny greetings from Germany, Juliane

I am really impressed! How lovely….I would gladly purchase a pattern if available. My 5 yr old needs a special Christmas present and I would love to knit her a doll of her own! Wendy, homeschooling mom of 3 in Canada 😉

Can you please tell me where I can get a pattern like this for a totally knitted Waldorf-style doll I am certainly willing to pay for the pattern. Many thanks.

Sorry for the delay in answering people (had all sorts of internet problems).

I do have notes for the doll and now the weather is getting warmer (and I fancy a break from all the hat making I’ve been doing) I’m considering improving the design and making a pattern available.

Have no idea how long this will take though!

Hi – sorry for the delay in replying. The hair is a crocheted cap which I then hooked yarn into and trimmed.

I haven’t got a finalised pattern drawn up for the doll yet, although it is on my to-do list (just not very near the top!)

The pattern is my own – I made notes whilst knitting the doll. I am planning to knit another and firm up a pattern for it and will post on here when I do. I haven’t blogged in a long while as after my husband left, life got rather difficult for a while, but I’m slowly getting back to things and on my ‘to-do’ list is to make this pattern available.

I’m really glad that you like it!
