Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?

Well worth listening to and also rather funny (from 2006):

    Hi Nic

Just watched the Ken Robinson video. Agree that it was very funny but perhaps more importantly thought provoking. We definitely are strait jacketed into how we approach education, the demands being formed by the norm which does not mean that it is right. You can have only one person that is right but if the other 99 say/do the same thing then that is construed as potentially being (the)right(way) or the norm. Crazy but true. It happens not just in education but widely.

    Luv Dad

BRILLIANT! Thanks so much for sharing it, Nikki. This was entertaining, thought provoking & SO TRUE! I may have to look it up and blog it myself, if not for others to watch (I would be surprised if my blog visitors would actually sit down and watch a 20min. video) but for me to watch it again later.
